Powertrains available
DS 3 comes with two powertrain options:
PureTech 100 Petrol, and also a 136 hp HYBRID version.
Powered by an internal combustion engine combined with an electric motor with a self-charging 48V Li-Ion battery, DS 3 HYBRID offers reduced CO2 emissions and improved fuel efficency with up to 15% less fuel consumption on average, compared with a petrol engine. (i) Combined consumption WLTP compared with a Petrol equivalent.
The combustion engine and electric motor work together to optimise energy consumption:
- during hard acceleration, to create a boost effect,
- during deceleration, to regenerate the battery's charge,
- at low speeds and over short distances, DS 3 HYBRID switches to 100% electric (i) Electric driving time may vary according to battery state of charge, driving style and weather conditions.

Legal information
¹ Figures shown for fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and range conform to the WLTP test procedure on which new vehicles have been approved since 1st September 2018. The WLTP test replaces the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) which was the testing protocol used previously. With more realistic testing conditions, fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions measured to WLTP protocols are, in many cases, higher than those measured according to the NEDC procedure. Values for fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and range can vary depending on conditions of use and different factors such as: frequency of charging, driving style, speed, specification, options, kinds of tyres, exterior temperature and temperature inside the vehicle.
