The DS EXTENDED HEAD-UP DISPLAY marks an immersive visual experience likened to augmented reality. Projected through the windscreen on a 21” diagonal image 4 metres ahead, digital information appears to be on the road so you never have to take your eyes off it.

DS IRIS SYSTEM

DS IRIS SYSTEM is our new intuitive, ergonomic information ecosystem that can be completely personalised. It combines a personal assistant that uses a touch interface as well as understanding what you say so the system does what you want, when you want.

DS SMART TOUCH

Access one of your 6 favourite shortcuts (destination, contact, radio, ventilation set-up etc…) using a single movement without taking your eyes off the road through DS SMART TOUCH. We’ve come up with DS DRIVE ASSIST to help you while enabling you to retake control of your vehicle at any time. DS DRIVE ASSIST controls the speed and distance relative to the vehicle in front and positions DS 4 precisely in its lane, depending on where you want, by moving the steering. It controls speed and direction, guaranteeing your safety and peace of mind at the wheel.

DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION

Helped by a camera located at the top of the windscreen, four attitude sensors and three accelerometers, DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION acts instantly on each of the wheels independently, to make the suspension firmer or softer depending on road conditions.

DS NIGHT VISION

An infrared camera positioned in DS 4’s grille spots pedestrians and animals up to 200 metres ahead and displays them in the digital instrument panel so that you can see danger and react safely. A real step forward in safety that guarantees more relaxed driving, even in the middle of the night.

ADDITIONAL TECHNOLOGY

DS MATRIX LED VISION

The new generation of DS MATRIX LED VISION projector headlamps are slim and modern looking and give DS 4 hatchback Matrix Beam and Dynamic Bending Light (lighting that sees round corners). The beam accurately senses your surroundings and adapts to it with five pre-set modes (town, country, motorway, bad weather and fog), so that you can use main beam headlamps in all conditions, without dazzling other road users.

REAR TRAFFIC DETECTION PACK

For extra reassurance, this system detects vehicles in your side blind spots when you’re driving, whatever their approach speed. With a range up to 75 metres, it warns you of hazards with a flashing LED in the mirror on the relevant side. When you manoeuvre in reverse gear, you are alerted to moving obstacles up to 40m away in your rear blind spot.

PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY & START

DS 4 automatically unlocks when you get to within 2 metres and the door handles, hidden until then, appear. You can then start your vehicle easily with the Start/Stop button. When you leave the vehicle, it's the same principle. The door handles retract and the vehicle locks automatically.

ACTIVE SAFETY BRAKE

Day or night, this system detects obstacles such as vehicles (driving in the same direction or stopped), pedestrians, cyclists as well as motorbikes in your lane. In case of immediate danger, the driver is alerted by a visual and audible warning; if they still don’t react, the automatic braking then acts.

SIGNPOST RECOGNITION

Enjoy driving in maximum comfort with speed and information signpost recognition technology. This system reads permanent and temporary signposts on the road then reproduces them on your instrument panel warning you instantly of possible speeding. You can also modify the settings of the cruise control/speed limiter to adjust your speed to the speed limit.

LANE KEEPING ASSIST

The Lane Keeping Assist system identifies when you cross the white line and automatically keeps you in your lane. You can deactivate this option whenever you want by gripping the steering wheel firmly or through the driving favourites button.

In our plug-in hybrid vehicles, you’ll enjoy a silent and totally flexible driving experience. When you’re driving with electric power, a blue LED lights up in the windscreen to show it’s activated.

E-TENSE ONLY SERVICES

Enjoy DS Automobiles services from your smartphone or vehicle to make everyday life easier: find charging points and plan your charging or have a charging point installed at home.

EMISSIONS

With the 225hp plug-in hybrid power unit, DS 4 E-TENSE combines low emissions and reduced fuel consumption: from 30g/km of CO₂ and 1.4 l/100km. This means you can drive in towns even when traffic is restricted.

Run in Zero Emissions mode

Charging is vital in order to take full advantage of plug-in hybrid technology. For more efficient use, we recommend you charge your DS 4 E-TENSE daily. Different factors can affect the range of your plug-in hybrid vehicle, such as weather conditions, your speed and even your driving style.

SPEED

Speed is one of the factors that most affects the range of your plug-in hybrid vehicle. Focus on a constant and moderate speed to maximise the range of your vehicle.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND HEATING

Depending on the weather conditions, your vehicle’s battery is used to control the cockpit temperature. In winter, energy expenditure can be 35% higher than spring so you’re advised to heat or cool the temperature inside your plug-in hybrid vehicle while it’s still charging.

DRIVING STYLE AND ELEVATION

Elevation changes in the road and your driving style have a strong influence on the range of your plug-in hybrid vehicle. Choose Hybrid Mode from the four available driving modes, take up eco-driving and use the regenerative braking to make the most of your battery and save energy by up to 15%.

CONNECTED ALARM

Enjoy your journey without worrying about your vehicle. The connected alarm warns you by SMS if your physical alarm is triggered.

REMOTE ACCESS

Control your vehicle remotely with your smartphone to lock or unlock your doors and locate your vehicle by triggering your horn or lights.

SEND 2 NAV
